Science Design Projects: Periscopes!

3-2-1 Weekly Update!

This week at school was fun because we had lot's of math studies. The reason I say that is because I love math and we do math in everyday life. One thing I learned this week was how to kick and throw properly in gym class. We Also did lot's of fun games. Another thing I learned was how to play Jingle Bells on the ukelele and recorder in music class. We also learned how to read music. Also this week I learned how to play Royalty Square in math jobs, it is a really fun game to play. Something I enjoyed this week was reading, the reason I say that is because I'm reading a really good book. They have got me hooked. I also enjoyed recess because I got to play with all of my friends! One goal I have for next week is to finish my 3-2-1 faster.

Gymnastics starts

we flip and fall just like the leaves

they dance as the leaves fall from the trees

you see black cats
 you can hear the crisp leaves as you walk on them!

Back to School Presentations

During the first two weeks of school, the students shared their "Me Bags."  In these bags, they collected 5 things that tell the story of who they are.  They collected pictures, toys, games, musical items, books, you name it! We learned about our classmates' families, pets, what activities they like and places they've traveled to.  It was a great way to introduce ourselves and we learned a lot of interesting details about everyone.  Great job on your first presentation grade 3s and 4s.  You were all so confident and well-spoken!  I can't wait for future presentations in room 7!

Our Class Rules!

Today, we came up with our classroom rules! We decided what we felt was important to BE SAFE, BE RESPONSIBLE and BE RESPECTFUL in our classroom!

Room 7 is Golden!

Our school theme this year is The Golden Rule! Room 7 is going to be practicing how to treat others how they want to be treated this year! 

I was delighted to meet my new class of grade 3s and 4s and can already say that we're going to have a great year!  I have so many kind and considerate students and can't wait to get to know each one of them better.

Revising vs. Editing

This is a form I have seen my cooperating teacher use to help teach and reinforce the ides of editing and revising our work! It works great with the students, it gives them a visual to use!
